MS TEAMS - HOW TO CREATE A TEAMS SHORTCUT TO ONEDRIVE
PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to explain that when someone shares a folder in Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint, or Microsoft Teams, they can add a shortcut to the shared folder in their OneDrive to easily find and work with files. These shortcuts appear on the OneDrive web, Windows File Explorer, Microsoft Teams, and on the OneDrive mobile apps.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Select the Microsoft Teams Site and Channel that you want to create a shortcut for.
- Once you open the files tab, click “Add shortcut to OneDrive”.
NOTE: If you just want to make a shortcut for a specific folder, only open the folder and then click “Add short to OneDrive”.
- Open File Explorer and then go To OneDrive – Mister Car Wash. Look for the shortcut you made. Your files should now be there.
NOTE: Depending on the numbers of files and internet bandwidth, it might take longer for files to appear.
