Troubleshoot BFT gate functionality

PURPOSE

The gate arm is consistently not opening for customers. There is a loose or disconnected cable at the network server and/or the gate board.

PROCESS

Unlock the server cabinet and look for one or more Cat 5 cables labeled “GATE”.
They will be connected to the server through white adapters.
Make sure no gate cables are loose at any connection points.
Check to see if the gate arm opens for cars. If it does not, proceed to the next step.
Unlock and remove the front gate panel.
You will then be able to remove the metal top and the blue plastic BFT cover.
The gate board sits directly on top of the gate
Check your gate board against the picture below.
Locate the Cat 5 cable (1) and unplug it and plug it back in.
Then, locate the green cord (2) and make sure it is securely connected to the board.
Check to see if the gate arm opens for cars.
