Troubleshoot BFT gate functionality
PURPOSE
The gate arm is consistently not opening for customers. There is a loose or disconnected cable at the network server and/or the gate board.
PROCESS
- Unlock the server cabinet and look for one or more Cat 5 cables labeled “GATE”.
- They will be connected to the server through white adapters.
- Make sure no gate cables are loose at any connection points.
- Check to see if the gate arm opens for cars. If it does not, proceed to the next step.
- Unlock and remove the front gate panel.
- You will then be able to remove the metal top and the blue plastic BFT cover.
- The gate board sits directly on top of the gate
- Check your gate board against the picture below.
- Locate the Cat 5 cable (1) and unplug it and plug it back in.
- Then, locate the green cord (2) and make sure it is securely connected to the board.
- Check to see if the gate arm opens for cars.
