Troubleshoot Polycom desk phone
PURPOSE
You need to know how to troubleshoot Polycom desk phone issues.
PROCESS
Symptom
- The Polycom desk phone doesn’t have a dial tone and/or the screen reads “URL” is disabled.
Cause
- This error typically indicates a local network connectivity problem or some other issue preventing the phone from registering properly.
- This can include:
- Faulty ports or cabling.
- Being unable to register phone provider SIP server.
- DNS issues.
- Other network setup issues.

Symptom
- My Polycom desk phone cannot activate or get service, and the screen reads “Line Unregistered.”
Resolution
